Every so often you just happen to see something that yells out "Take a photo of this!" It could be a person walking down the street, a cute animal, a reflection in the window, a landscape or ... this photo is one of those.
It was a bitterly cold morning in the Dolomites in Italy and, after skiing for a bit, the team was in need of a hot chocolate and some warmth. Whilst the gang went inside the mountain restaurant to check seat availability, I remained outside because...well, just because!
I took the opportunity to wander around the hut and, in doing so, walked about 50 metres to look over the side of the mountain. And right in front of me was one of those moments. Unlike most such occurrences when they occur, I actually had my camera in my backpack.
Oh, and by the way, there were no seats available so we were forced to move on! Maybe we didn't get to check out their hot chocolates but I certainly came away with a warm feeling in the stomach.
